Products
Trefilerías Quijano produces wire for a wide range of qualities, from cold-formed to a wide variety of carbon steels. With a broad range of diameters (from 2 to 52 mm), it meets the most demanding European and international specifications.

Manufacturing process
Trefilerías Quijano manufactures wires by cold deformation (drawing) using high, medium and low carbon wire rod as raw material, which will be transformed in the different stages of the processes.
Every process begins with the wire rod passing through the automatic pickling line. This process chemically cleans the iron oxide (Fe2O3) that forms during hot rolling, giving the rod a surface coating suitable for subsequent deformation.
Wire drawing is a cold deformation, usually in multiple machines, in which the initial diameter of the raw material is reduced to a final diameter in a single process, passing the wire rod through tools (die-rolls) of successively smaller diameters.
Heat treatments will include annealing and priming to regenerate the steel structure so that it can continue drawing while simultaneously giving the material specific mechanical and structural characteristics.
Depending on the type of wire rod used and the subsequent use of the manufactured wire, two clearly differentiated sections will be distinguished:
· High carbon
· Cold Stamping
